Responsibilities:

The Sr. Web Marketing Manager will lead the development and delivery of appropriate solutions for improving the University’s Website user experience and from the perspective of lead generation and conversion through project management and development of micro sites, landing pages and mobile apps.
The candidate must understand the overall process of website development at the enterprise level and be able to manage the integration and maintenance of the external website on the SharePoint 2010 platform. The candidate will serve as a website technical resource and act as a liaison between the Marketing and IT departments.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring website performance with an emphasis on search engine optimization.
 
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 Essential functions:  100% of time
  • Leading website improvements to increase student acquisition and lower cost/lead
  • Analyzing, deploying, monitoring and improving the University’s website
  • Project managing various projects simultaneously under pressure and competing interests
  • Communicating with outside vendors to ensure deliverables are being met by both parties
  • Acting as liaison with IT department and serving as a technical resource and point of contact for Marketing technology requirements and initiatives
  • Providing technical analysis and initial support for Marketing department regarding technology problems, and working in collaboration with IT department to meet Marketing department technical requirements
  • Consulting IT department on enterprise system changes and how website will be affected
  • Consulting IT department in the migration of content into SharePoint 2010
  • Day-to-day web content updates
  • Ability to provide creative direction
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate website challenges
  • Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns that are aligned with the marketing departments objects that drive customer acquisition, development and retention
  • Manage SEO initiatives
  • Supervising Web Marketing Specialist
Qualifications:

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Previous Experience: 
Required: 
  • Strong Project Management skills are critical to this role
  • Strong understanding of web development process
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, ASP, jQuery
  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver), SharePoint Designer and other state-of-the-art web technologies
  • Skill in basic troubleshooting of hardware and software used in Marketing
  • Familiarity with SharePoint 2010
  •  Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) such as Hobsons EMT Connect, etc.
  • Possess a good sense of design (basic design principles)
  • Conceptual understanding of SQL/Access and database-driven websites & queries
  • Strategic planning
  •  Understanding the big picture of how decisions made affect the entire process (timelines, resources, budget, scope, etc.)
  • Must have the ability to organize multiple and complex tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously, under pressure and competing interests
  •  Strong at proof reading and editing web copy
Desired:
  • Past experience leading others
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO/SEM (organic search) –candidate should provide insight and guidance regarding SEO best practices. 
  • Experience with conducting A/B or MVT (Multi-Variant Testing)

Knowledge and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s Degree preferred
