The Manager of Community and Corporate Relations is responsible for community outreach efforts for Brandman University. The coordinator builds positive awareness of the institution and its academic programs within the business, government, military and education communities, and is responsible for building and sustaining a strong pool of qualified prospective students. The coordinator works under general supervision and regularly exercises independent judgment and discretion in the execution of his/her duties. The coordinator collects data and performs statistical analysis and makes informed judgments and decisions based upon the data and other information.
This position reports to the Regional Director with a direct line to the Campus Director and is held accountable to weekly, monthly and quarterly performance goals. Goals include, but are not limited to: prospect generation volume, outreach calls, participating in career fairs and transfer days at community colleges, market research, participation on work groups, creating opportunities for the signing of agreements and site visits to military bases or operations, businesses and schools.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions: 100% of time
Marketing and Outreach (85%of time)
- Promote Graduate and Undergraduate programs to all who could benefit from them
- Attend education, career fairs and visit businesses, school districts and military bases in the local area
- Actively communicate with and provide follow up with potentials students
- Meet with Human Resource managers, career counselors, principals, Community College instructors, members of school leadership, and students to provide information about the Brandman programs
- Develop and present information at local community colleges, K-12 schools, military bases and businesses to promote our academic programs
- Coordinate and conduct off site information sessions for prospective students at various venues (self initiated and by invitation)
- Set up and staff information tables as community colleges, businesses, and other select venues
- Provide general information about Brandman/CUC, academic programs, admission requirements, and distribute marketing and application materials to prospective students or referral sources
- Participate in community organizations such as the local Chambers of Commerce in order to create a referral network
Planning and Organization (15%of time)
- Work directly with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Strategic Business Development, Campus Director, Program Managers, and the Campus Enrollment Management Team to determine the target market for each academic program and develop program specific strategic marketing plans accordingly
- Analyze statistical data in order to enhance recruitment and yield strategies and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports of your actual performance versus targets
- Establish lead generation and conversion benchmarks in conjunction with the Campus Director
- Plan and organize objectives to enhance enrollments
- Proactively follow up with prospects/leads by telephone, email and snail-mail
- Track all performance metrics on a daily basis (e.g., number of prospects generated per week)
